𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | CAS research nabs top spot in Psych nat’l convention
A student-led research from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) won the first prize in the Undergraduate Thesis competition of the 37th Psychological Association of the Philippine (PAPJA) National Convention, 20 April.
Mr. Bren Noah M. Nieto and Ms. Gertrude H. Mordeno’s research entitled “When the knife is not sharp enough: Phenomenologizing the Lived Experiences of Select Male Suicide Attempt Survivors During Covid-19 Pandemic” breathed life to the stories of male survivors through “interpretative phenomenological analysis, psychological literary criticism, and integration of both.”

Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) leadership is on a mission to transform the University into a future-ready institution.
Helmed by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), the Certificate Course on Foresight and Futures Thinking (FT) commenced at the Bamboo Training Center (BTC) on 17 April. Honoring the opening ceremony were Dr. Max P. Guillermo, TAU President; Dr. Lizan E. Peranta-Calina, Dean of DAP-Graduate School of Public Development Management (GSPDM); and other officials from TAU and DAP.
𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | TAUians prevail in nat’l science summit for SUC students
Delegates from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) have once again proven their determination to advancing science education in the country by collaborating with member-state universities and colleges (SUCs) of the Philippine Council for Science, Mathematics, and Technology (PCSMT) through the Science and Technology Youth Leadership Encampment (STYLE) at Rio Villanuevo Water Resort in Indang, Cavite on 17-19 April.
Seven students and two officials represented TAU in the camp namely: Jedhsa Romelyn G. Buayan and Kaneza Ann M. Estillore, College of Veterinary Medicine; Samuel S. Calicdan and Rolando S. Obenario Jr., College of Engineering and Technology; Ian Nathaniel S. Heramia and Jay Noel DL. Cerezo, College of Agriculture; and Aaron P. Villena, College of Education. The group was accompanied by TAU’s PCSMT Coordinators: Dr. Arlene V Tomas, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, and Dr. Milani C. Petero, In-Charge of the Integrated Science Laboratory.
