Today, April 26, we honor a significant day in the remarkable life of Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA).

A forward-thinking educator, distinguished alumni, and committed administrator, Dr. Lorenzo has spent years serving TAU with dedication—embodying hard work, strategic foresight, and enthusiasm in every role he undertakes not just in his present capacity but also as former Dean of the College of Education (CEd) and Director of Planning and Development Office (PDO).

We extend our heartfelt wishes for his enduring health and happiness, safety and success, profound insight in all his endeavors, and the loving companionship of family and friends.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Led by the Department of Research and Development (DRD), the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) empowers Tech Entrepreneurs through a conference titled “Echo Seminar on Technology Promotion and Commercialization and Re-orientation of Intellectual Property (IP) Registration and Application” at the Bamboo Training Center (BTC), 25 April.

Faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and College of Business and Management (CBM) along with other employees, gather as resource speakers delve into the introduction of IP management, prior arts search, technology protection, entrepreneurial skills, and technology promotion.

Meanwhile, during her opening message, Dr. Maria Elena T. Caguioa, DRD Director, commends the TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and the TAU administration for acknowledging the importance of the said project and providing full support in establishing the Technology Business Incubation (TBI) now called the Agrifood Technology Business Incubation Hub (AFTBIH).

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Engineering and Technology (CET) launches a training titled “Technopreneurship for Sustainable Development: Fostering Inclusive Innovation and Adaptive Mentoring” via Zoom, 25 April.

In partnership and collaboration with State University of Northern Negros; HydroZen Corporation; Ikan Inc - Genotek; MIKAI Agri-Trading; Gender and Development (GAD) Office; Department of Extension and Training (DET); and CET Student Council, the training dives deep into prototyping, value proposition development, business modeling, and fund sourcing—all while emphasizing gender-sensitive approaches to innovation.

Said training will also hold its onsite training on 16 May at the CET Conference Room.

CAPTURED IN LENS | Showcasing the artistic and intellectual prowess of students from various colleges of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), the Sociocultural and Development Office (SDO) launches the Festival of Talents in different areas of the University, 25 April.

The event features literary arts where students compete in Storytelling, Pagkukwento, and Spoken Poetry at the SDO Music Room, while the Essay and Pagsusulat ng Sanaysay Competition are held at the College of Business and Management (CBM) Banquet Hall. 

Meanwhile, student artists proceed at the SDO Dance Room for the Visual Arts Competition followed by captivating musical performances that captivate the judges at the Student and Alumni Center Amphitheater.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) proudly showcases rows of healthy diverse crops, organically grown by Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) students, 26 April.

As a requirement in their practicum class, 2nd year BSA students apply their classroom learnings in crop production, pest management, and sustainable farming, with proper guidance from their dedicated BSA instructors.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo, the Dean of CAF, demonstrates her full support during the site inspection at the CAF vegetable garden. Future harvests will also be made available to the TAU community once ready.

Representatives from the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) attended the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) - Capability Enhancement and Mid-Year Conference which is anchored on the goal of strengthening regional academic collaboration and improving the standards of international education, hosted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in collaboration with Saint Louis University (SLU) at the Ion Hotel Amber Hall, Baguio City, on 24-25 April 2025.

Through this conference, Dr. Benny S. Soliman, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) and Mr. Abner P. Mañebog Jr., Technical Staff for International Mobility of ELIA, were able to engage in collaborative discussions and strategic planning that directly focused on improving the  capacity of AIMS Philippines by enhancing its program effectiveness, inclusivity, and impact assessment mechanisms.

Under the morning sun at the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Hostel Function Hall, participants gathered early for the training and team-building activities during the “Young Farmers Regional Bootcamp 2025 Harvest Through 4-H Milestone: Harnessing Agricultural Resilience through Vision, Education, Sustainability, and Technology” from 23-25 April.

The three-day intensive program blended traditional farming wisdom with cutting-edge innovations, embodying the 4-H (Head, Hands, Heart, and Health) pillars. In collaboration and active participation from agencies and government offices including the Department of Agriculture (DA); DA-Tarlac; Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT); 4H Club; DA Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center (DA ATI-RTC); DA-Regional Field Office III (DA-FRO III); Federation of Volunteer Leaders of the Philippines (FVLP), and TAU.
