CAPTURED IN LENS | The Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) and Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) lead an inception meeting for the joint project entitled REACH R4D project at the OP Conference Room, 5 May. 

The initiative, running until January 2026, will support the Nambalan Riverside Agriculture Cooperative through regenerative agriculture and water conservation technologies. Key focuses include rehabilitation of small farm reservoirs (SFRs), shallow tube wells (STWs), demonstration sites for dry-seeded rice production. and precision irrigation technologies.

CAPTURED IN LENS | To ensure coordination of all agricultural research and maintain a network of regional and provincial collaborators, the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office (DA-FRO) III under the leadership of its Executive Director Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr., inks a multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with government agencies and institutions including Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) to launch the establishment of the Central Luzon Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research, and Extension for Development Network (CLAFRREDN) at the Royce Hotel, Clark, Pampanga, 5 May.

Represented by its TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and Department of Extension and Training (DET) Director Dr. Agnes C. Perey, TAU participates in the Pledge of Commitment and ceremonial MOU signing, signifying its commitment to taking part in  region-wide research-driven agricultural development initiatives.

The Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia invites students and academic advisors from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) to an upcoming online 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 on two prestigious scholarship opportunities available at ITS: The Indonesia AID Scholarship (TIAS) 2025; and The ITS Global Excellence Scholarship on 9 May 2025.

This session will provide comprehensive information regarding opportunities for international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral programs at ITS with 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲-𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, which include tuition fees, living allowances, and additional support.

The session will cover topics such as overview of the scholarship programs, eligibility criteria and application procedures, benefits of the scholarships and academic experience at ITS, and live Q&A session with representatives from the ITS International Office.

The Malacañang has declared Thursday, 8 May, as a special non-working holiday in the Municipality of Camiling through Proclamation No. 860 hence, academic and administrative operations  at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) will be suspended to allow Camileños and guests to participate in the town's fiesta celebrations.

Regular university operations will resume on Friday, 9 May. Students and employees are encouraged to use this opportunity to explore and learn about Camiling's rich cultural heritage and traditions.

Jomar R. Gambol, a second-year student under the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), will gain a deeper understanding of Fundamental Business Data Visualization with Python Coding, a course offered through the “2025 Thailand UMAP Micro-credential” by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) scheduled to run from 9 May to 30 June.

Through this international program, Gambol will join fellow participants in having their competencies assessed via KMUTT’s Micro-Credential system—with successful completion culminating in a digital badge.

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh (ITS) Nopember, Indonesia is offering twenty (20) slots for participants who are undergraduate, masteral or doctoral students, as well as academic or non-academic staff of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), for the “Virtual CommTech Nusantara 2025: Exploring Indonesia’s Local Languages and Traditional Songs.” Said program will be held from 7-18 July 2025, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM (GMT+8) via Zoom.

Through this academic journey, participants will be virtually exposed to Indonesia’s historical landmarks through a virtual city tour and witness the country’s vibrant culture such as cuisine, traditional songs, and dances.
