Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, President of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), delivers his inaugural State of the University Address (SUA) during the Convocation Program held at Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, showcasing TAU’s remarkable progress in academics, research, extension, and production. He emphasizes the University’s strengthened curricular programs, high employability rates of its graduates and alumni, and research contributions, alongside its national and global recognitions, including international rankings in sustainability and innovation.

President Salunson also highlights TAUians’ performance in sports, culture, and civic leadership, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development. With forward-looking governance and inclusive initiatives, TAU continues to drive agricultural innovation and sustainable development. The address concludes with a call for unfettered collaboration, ensuring TAU remains a beacon of excellence for future generations.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | As part of its 9th University Charter Anniversary celebration, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community witnesses the formal blessing of new facilities and equipment on 6 May. Among the inaugurated projects are the phase 1 of the road network, a communal vegetable garden, and newly acquired motor vehicles and machineries.

Rev. Fr. Romeo S. Namalata of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sta. Ignacia Tarlac officiates the ceremonial rites, invoking divine guidance for the University’s continued success and the welfare of TAU stakeholders. Afterwards, a holy mass gathers TAU officials and employees at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center.

𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩, 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Ushering a new era in its nine-year history as a full-fledged University, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) unveiled its new ten-year strategy framework during the Convocation Program held at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, 6 May. 

Conceived by the University’s Administrative Council (AdCo) in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and duly approved by its Board of Regents (BOR) on 28 February, the said operational blueprint was introduced by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson through an address and later via ceremonial curtain reveal. 

Enshrining an updated and relevant vision and mission, the comprehensive plan for institutional operations and development positions TAU for transformational growth as a globally competitive smart agricultural university. It also outlines 14 strategic goals across academic excellence, research innovation, administrative efficiency, and sustainability, all aligned with national priorities and global agendas.

Be part of the movement to advance Global Citizenship Education (GCED) by joining the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 on 15-16 May. This virtual event invites educators, researchers, and education advocates to contribute to timely and critical conversations on topics such as global citizenship and cultural competency, innovative curriculum design, technology in global learning, and equity and access in education.

Organized in collaboration with Universitas Mataram (Indonesia), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and Western Mindanao State University, the conference offers a meaningful platform for cross-border dialogue and knowledge-sharing. 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | 𝐋𝐒 𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐒𝐒𝐂-𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐛𝐞𝐞

Breaking barriers and expectations, four quizzers from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Laboratory School (LS) emerged victorious in the first Harvest of Knowledge: The Ultimate TAU College Quiz Showdown, held at the TAU Agritourism Hostel Function Hall on 7 May. The event, organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), was part of the ongoing 9th University Charter Anniversary celebration.

Scoring an impressive 53 points, Team LA BRATZ, composed of Emmanuel Arthur Dancel, Princess Mae C. Antonio, Kaede Anne A. Mariano, and Cornelius Eden S. Peralta, outperformed older and more experienced college contenders.

Trailing closely behind LS was the College of Education (CEd) with 48 points. Their team, Talon Titans, included Ma. Luisa D. Yadao, Jhenica S. Palma, Karl Bryon V. Antonio, and Mark Joseph V. Bombase. The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) secured third place with 23 points, represented by Team Bull Ba? by Charles Andrei C. Gragasin, Carlo Rafael B. Lorenzo, Karl Enjie D. Mangino, and Lou Vergel D. Silverio.

ELIA Volunteers top Search for Outstanding TAU Global Student Ambassadors, Global SDG Advocates

Two External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) volunteers vied for the top spot in the Search for Outstanding Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Global Student Ambassadors (GSA), a category in the Internationalization (IZN) and SDG Awards (ISA), and received cash prize in recognition of their active participation in IZN programs, leadership role in IZN activities, awards in and video documentation of IZN engagements, and implementation of re-entry plan.

CAS scribes debut at AVISOC, pull off unexpected win

Call it beginner’s luck, but first-timers Mr. Joshua R. Bugarin and Mr. Kenedy D. Agustin from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), bested their fellow contenders in the opinion article category of  the ASEAN Virtual Student Opinion Competition (AVISOC).
