Institute of International Education (IIE) welcomes TAU as institutional member
Going relentlessly!
Incessant to expand its global engagement and visibility, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) permeated to be a member-institution of the Institute of International Education (IIE) Network. The University’s application for membership has been approved in November 2016 following a meeting with Ms. Svetlozara Trocheva, IIE’s Senior Manager for Membership & Publications at the IIE Headquarters based in the United Nations Plaza, New York, USA.
The IIE, an independent nonprofit institution founded in 1919, is among the world's largest and most experienced international education and training organizations. Among the many IIE-administered programs are the Fulbright and Humphrey Fellowship Programs, the Gilman International Scholarship Program and the International Visitor Leadership Program, administered on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.

Two QS-ranked Indonesian universities distinguish TAU as first HEI partner in the Philippines
Progressively realizing its goal to widen global engagement and establish international visibility, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) steered an international partnership development mission in Indonesia to seal the Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement with the Brawijaya University (Universitas Brawijaya/ BU) in Malang and Airlangga University (Universitas Airlangga/ AU) in Surabaya, both renowned HEIs in the said country.
BU, a state university in Malang City, East Java, is one of the leading universities in Indonesia with more than 60,000 students across twelve faculties (colleges). It has been included in the 2016 QS University World (710+) and Asia (30-350) Ranking. On the other hand, AU is the second-oldest university in Indonesia with 15 faculties and more than 35,000 students. Consistently ranked highly in major world university rankings, AU has long been considered as one of the "Big 5" universities in Indonesia. This year, AU ranked 191st in the QS Asian University Ranking and 701+ in the University World Ranking. The same QS Ranking has put into record AU as the best university in "Citations per Paper" category in 2014.
RET conducts workshop to update TAU-RDE agenda
Eyeing to generate an updated and relevant RDE Agenda aligned to the thrusts and priority programs of national government agencies aimed towards achieving national and regional development goals, the Research, Extension and Training (RET) Unit of the Tarlac Agricultural University spearheaded the “RDE Seminar-Workshop: Planning of the TAU Research, Development and Extension (RDE) Agenda 2018 and Framing of Winning Research and Extension Program Proposals” on April 12, 13 and 20 at the TAU Hostel Conference Hall and Farmers’ Training Center, respectively.
The first day of the activity highlighted the updating of a relevant, responsive, and sustainable TAU RDE Agenda wherein Dr. William D. Dar, former Director General of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the founder and incumbent president of InangLupa Movement that advocates agricultural modernization and rural industrialization, served as the guest speaker.
