Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) made a grand entrance at the State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association Region III (SCUFAR III) Sports and Cultural Festival hosted by Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) as its officials and employees joined the parade and participated in the opening ceremony, 20 August.

Led by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, the TAU delegates proved their commitment to fostering solidarity with their fellow public servants from state universities and colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon as well as upholding sportsmanship and the appreciation and conservation of arts and heritage.

Dr. Joseph Paul T. Abad, TAU-United Faculty Association (UFA) president, expressed his gratitude to the administration of Dr. Salunson and the steering committee of the regional event. β€œOn behalf of the TAU faculty, I am extending my sincerest gratitude to the organizers of the SCUFAR III Sports and Cultural Festival, especially to the President of SCUFAR III, Hon. Divina C. Ladrillo, the PSAU faculty regent. I would also like to thank the faculty and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA) for its support.”

Furthermore, Dr. Abad said he was proud in witnessing the sportsmanship and camaraderie of all the players from different SUCs as he hoped that this kind of healthy competition would continue to strengthen the bond among all SUCs, not only in Region III but throughout the entire country.
Also, Ms. Judith F. Espiritu, TAU-Faculty Association (FA) president, and her association also contributed significantly to this annual assembly, highlighting their active involvement and collaborative spirit.

Meanwhile, Ms. Jenah B. Sotero, the NASA president, was equally grateful for the chance to represent TAU at such gatherings. β€œTo be part of the SCUFAR III is very heartwarming. We are very thankful to the UFA, especially to Dr. Abad, for giving NASA members the opportunity to compete. I hope that this partnership will continue,” she said.

Under Dr. Salunson’s leadership, TAU will remain steadfast in upholding the ideals of good sportsmanship, cultural identity, and regional unity championed by SCUFAR III. This reflects the university's dedication to excellence in all aspects of its institutional mandates.
