Tarlac Agricultural University’s Department of Research and Development hosted the Research Capability Caravan Project with “Enhancing of Research Capability Webinar Series: Writing a Competitive Research Proposal for Funding and Collaboration” via Google Meet last May 7, 14, and 21.

The rostrum of experts that graced the training includes: Dr. Narceo Bajet (DOST Balik Scientist Awardee), Dr. Maria Excelsis M. Orden (CLSU Director of University Research Center), Dr. Ma. Asuncion G. Beltran (Vice President, Research, Extension & Training), Dr. Arnold E. Velasco (Vice President, Academic Affairs), and Dr. Maria Teresa SJ Valdez (TAU Graduate Program Coordinator).

The three-day webinar aims to hone the TAU faculty and staff in the development of comprehensive scholarly papers deserving of partnership and support. TAU continues to engage in collaborative research projects with various funding agencies whose objective is to help the poorest families in the community.

It is also a part of R&D’s strategy to strengthen the research capability of the university in order to achieve its goals in producing research-based technologies that would alleviate the quality of life of TAU’s community partners, local and abroad.

The training kicks in with Experimental Research on May 7 with the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM).

On May 14, the webinar focused on Mixed Methods Research (Quantitative-Qualitative) participated by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Education (CEd), and College of Business Management (CBM) Faculty.

The event culminates with the research presentation and evaluation of the mentioned participating colleges. (NMallari, CAS)
