Serving the public means going the extra mile despite the limits and challenges of a rapidly changing world. We continue to witness public servants making sacrifices for the greater good of Filipinos: rescuers losing their lives in the line of duty during calamities; teachers crossing rivers and traversing forests and mountains just to reach schools in peripheral communities; and medical workers risking their lives to save others.

These acts may seem extraordinary, but to an honest and compassionate government employee, they are just part of the routine- a reality many choose to face without an iota of doubt.
