Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Commitment Statement of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU)
Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) is deeply dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by implementing programs that harmonize academic achievement with innovation, inclusion, and environmental stewardship.
While our SMART Agriculture Center advances innovative solutions to improve sustainable farming practices, the eBamboo Facility and Bamboo Forest Park, as well as the Rootcrops Research and Training Center, improves agro-industrial research and food security, further demonstrating our mission to champion socio-environmental resilience.
Consistent with our mission of enshrining collaborative and inclusive academic development, TAU’s mobility programs promote international cooperation, resources-sharing, and cross-cultural exchange for its students, faculty, and staff.
A Materials Recovery Facility and renewable energy sources are part of TAU’s sustainable infrastructure, which lowers carbon emissions and encourages appropriate waste management. In all operations, we place a high priority on resource efficiency through an improved austerity program.
To guarantee that every student has fair access to educational opportunities, TAU has also institutionalized a Student Inclusion Unit and established student organizations that represent the members of marginalized sectors.
Furthermore, the Calao Forest Reserve demonstrates our commitment to ecological education and biodiversity conservation, reinforcing TAU’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development.
TAU pledges to advance sustainability for People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership in 2030 and beyond.
