Carrying the theme โAI for a Resilient ASEAN: Innovation, Sustainability, and Humanity,โ the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) ASEAN AI Hackathon 2026, held from April 23 to July 31 and conducted virtually via Zoom, brought together four teams composed of five members each. The participants included nineteen (19) Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) and one (1) Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) student from the College of Education (CED).ย
The competition gathered young innovators from across Southeast Asia to design impactful AI solutions addressing key areas such as climate action, healthcare, smart cities, and educationโcontributing to a more sustainable and future-ready ASEAN community.
The student delegates were guided by their faculty mentors, namely Dr. Eugene Valeriano, Mr. Rodel C. Ramos, Dr. Joven A. Tolentino, and Ms. Lyle Zhyla Patalod from the College of Engineering and Technology, who provided expertise and support throughout the competition.
This participation reflects Tarlac Agricultural Universityโs commitment to nurturing globally competitive students equipped with innovation, creativity, and digital skills.
