Concluding the celebration of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Week, the faculty members along with CAS Student Council (SC) conducted an outreach program at Sitio Dueg, San Clemente, Tarlac, and extended assistance and meaningful interaction to residents.
The CAS community led an organized activity, distributed support materials, and reinforced the extension effort of the University while promoting empathy, social responsibility, and civic consciousness among the students.
The project highlighted the importance of higher education institutions as centers of instruction and research, as well as partners in community development.
In the afternoon, the celebration transitioned to a formal program held at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center Gymnasium with the theme โBurnt-Brown Coachellaโ and consisted of the grand entrance of participants, performances by students and faculty members, messages from university officials, and a recognition of retirees and alumni. Interactive games, a ramp show, and an awarding ceremony emphasized talent and participation, followed by dinner and a fellowship party that fostered a sense of community.
Through this program, CAS highlighted the commitment of the University to integrating academic excellence with social responsibility and gratitude.
