Demonstrating strong institutional synergy for inclusive education, the University President; Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson warmly receives the newly installed Municipal Jail Warden of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)โCamiling, Tarlac, JSINSP Jessica M. Corpuz, during a courtesy visit held at the Office of the University President this 15th of April 2026. The engagement highlights the continuing partnership between Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and BJMP in advancing education and development programs for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
Joining JSINSP Corpuz are BJMP personnel SJO1 Lanie Joy A. Millanes and JO1 Franz O. Madrideo, who are welcomed by Director for Extension and Training Dr. Agnes C. Perey. The discussion focuses on the status of various extension and training initiatives of TAU being implemented for PDLs at BJMPโCamiling, particularly those under the College Education Behind Bars program, which continues to provide educational opportunities for rehabilitation and personal development.
Both institutions also explore potential future extension projects and collaborative initiatives to expand academic support, skills training, and capacity-building programs for PDLs. The meeting further strengthens the shared commitment of TAU and BJMP to promote inclusive, transformative, and accessible education, reinforcing their joint mission of empowering individuals toward successful reintegration into society.
