Eighty years of academic legacy culminate in a vibrant display of triumph as Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officially commissions its latest batch of SMART graduates during the 80th Commencement Exercises. The atmosphere at the university grounds crackles with anticipation and pride as Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, welcomes the assembly, setting the stage for a ceremony defined by heritage and innovation. TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson takes the podium to introduce the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director IV of the International Affairs Service of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), whose insights inspire the graduates to carry the torch of excellence into their respective fields.

The formal heart of the ceremony beats as Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Forestry, presents a diverse roster of 533 Graduates and Completers, including Doctoral and Masterโ€™s degree holders, hundreds of baccalaureate graduates in Agriculture, Animal Science, Food Technology, and Forestry, as well as dedicated certificate completers.ย

Dr. Salunson formally confers the degrees, certifying that every individual before him has met the rigorous standards set by CHED and the TAU Board of Regents. Recognizing exceptional academic rigor, Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo the Vice-President for Finance and Administration, representing Director Maria Cristina R. Gonzales of the Civil Service Commission of Tarlac Province, confers Presidential Decree 907 upon the Latin Honor recipients. This significant decree serves as a cornerstone of meritocracy, granting civil service eligibility to honor graduates to acknowledge their vital role in the nationโ€™s future.

Before the final transition into their professional lives, Magna Cum Laude graduate Ms. Angelica S. Angeles leads the class in a powerful recital of the Pledge of Loyalty, marking their formal induction into a global community of innovators and leaders.
