Solidifying its status as a cornerstone of poverty alleviation and inclusive economic empowerment, the Tarlac Agricultural University Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TAU-MPC) convened its stakeholders for the Annual General Assembly at the Continuing Education Center on 13 February. The event served as a dual celebration, marking both a year of record growth and the cooperative’s recent designation as the 2025 Most Outstanding Cooperative in the Province of Tarlac.

The formal proceedings opened with a comprehensive review of the 2025 fiscal year. Mr. Eduardo D. Cabrera III presented the Accomplishment Report, detailing operational triumphs that exceeded service targets despite challenges posed by new ventures introduced in the previous year. His report highlighted the cooperative’s resilience and its ability to pivot effectively in a competitive market.

This was followed by a crucial financial briefing from Mr. Dante A. Revamonte, who showcased a healthy balance sheet and introduced the 2026 Annual Procurement Plan (APP). The roadmap emphasizes strategic investments and expanded business opportunities, such as livestock and van rentals, designed to ensure long-term sustainability and diversified income streams for its growing membership.

In a significant move toward modernizing governance, Dr. Emerson B. Cuzzamu led a deliberation on proposed amendments to the cooperative’s Constitution and By-Laws (CBL). The floor was opened for members to voice concerns and seek clarifications, ensuring a transparent democratic process. After a thorough discussion, the proposed amendments were officially ratified, effectively streamlining the cooperative’s foundational rules to better align with its "Large Cooperative" status and evolving operational needs.

In between portions, raffle draws heightened the excitement of the afternoon, where lucky attendees took home major prizes. Special awards were also given to top savers to encourage financial discipline within the community. The assembly then shifted to the election of the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Audit Committee, seating a new set of leaders tasked with maintaining the organization's upward trajectory.

In a post-event interview, General Manager Alma R. Felipe expressed profound gratitude for the trust and confidence of the membership. "At TAU-MPC, we live by our motto: helping community, transforming lives," she stated, noting that the high turnout reflects a collective commitment to the organization’s mission.Β

With an amended CBL, expanded business ventures, and a freshly elected leadership team, TAU-MPC is poised to build upon its award-winning legacy and serve TAUians with renewed vigor.
