Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) concluded its hosting of the 2026 Science and Technology Youth Leadership Encampment (STYLE) on 25 March with a closing ceremony that marked the eventโ€™s pinnacle, celebrating participantsโ€™ achievements in competitions that showcased youth leadership and innovation.

TAU delegates emerged as top contenders, with Leslie Jobyl J. Dela Cruz (College of Agriculture and Forestry) securing the title of Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics, and Technology (PCSMT) Ambassadress 1st Runner-Up and the Best in Advocacy Video award.ย

Meanwhile, Jesse B. Cariรฑo (College of Arts and Sciences) delivered a strong showing as the 2nd Runner-Up for PCSMT Ambassador, and Jeb Lauren B. Rentillosa (College of Engineering and Technology) captured 4th Place in the Photo Contest for his visual storytelling of the Universityโ€™s engineered bamboo project.

These contests, which also included an Essay Writing category, provided a vital platform for students to exhibit their talents and critical thinking.

TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson commended the TAUians, thanking them for bringing pride to the University. โ€œI also wish for the delegates to continue championing the ideals of PCSMT, even as they return to their respective institutions,โ€ he added.

Following the awarding ceremony, the incoming PCSMT Student Chapter officers officially took their oath. This transition symbolizes the continuity of youth leadership and the advancement of technology education among the SUCs represented.

A poignant moment marked the end of the event as Aaron P. Villena,ย  outgoing PCSMT Student Chapter President from the College of Education (CEd), shared a heartfelt message: "This experience will be my 'multo,' a ghost that will haunt me forever in the best way possible. It will remind me that once in my lifetime, I had the chance to pour my heart, my time, and my leadership into this consortium."

The STYLE brought together a diverse assembly of students, faculty, and staff from 17 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) nationwide. Held over three days, the event was organized by TAU in coordination with the PCSMT and the University of Northern Philippines (UNP).
