Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) continues to pursue its international academic connections by co-hosting a joint online course in collaboration with the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Pancasakti Tegal - Indonesia on 27 April bringing together visiting professors, faculty members, and students in a shared virtual classroom.ย
The program began with a welcome message from Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, Dean of the College of Education. She highlighted the importance of global partnerships in promoting teacher education.
Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of TAU - External Linkages and International Affairs delivered her lecture, โGuiding Young Childrenโs Behavior and Moral Development: A Culturally Responsive Approach in Southeast Asia.โ Her discussion emphasized the role of culturally responsive practices in shaping learnersโ development in diverse contexts.ย
On the other hand, Dr. Yovian Yustiko Prasetya, a lecturer and researcher from Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, spoke on Cyber Counseling. He highlighted how digital platforms can provide accessible and ethical guidance services for learners in todayโs educational environment.ย
The activity also included interactive sessions led by visiting professors, which encouraged a meaningful exchange of ideas about pedagogy and innovative teaching methods. Overall, the initiative strengthened the growing partnership between TAU and Universitas Pancasakti Tegal and created opportunities for future academic collaborations.
