Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) office and Camiling Colleges, Inc. (CCI) convened for an exploratory meeting to discuss a prospective partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 23 April.Β

Aiming to formalize an institutional collaboration, the discussions focused on key initiatives, including the co-organization of capacity-building programs, the conduct of a joint research colloquium, and the potential inclusion of CCI in TAU’s Adopt-a-School Program.

Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, ELIA Director, underscored that the partnership may also extend beyond academic undertakings, noting opportunities for CCI’s participation in TAU’s ASEAN Festival and Internationalization at Home programs to enhance cultural exchange and global engagement. Meanwhile, Ms. Caroline Nazareno-Gabis, Chief for Partnership Development, presented the ELIA framework and outlined the procedural guidelines for processing the agreement.

On the other hand, Dr. Janet R. Valdez, Vice President for Academic Affairs of CCI, conveyed strong support for the initiative and shared plans to connect TAU with the Family Peace Association and Royal Institution Singapore. The meeting was also attended by Gielene M. Lintao, College Clerk; Analyn Valdez, Instructor; and Basilio Bacnis, Instructor from CCI.Β

Both TAU’s and CCI’s committed participation in said meeting collectively reflect both institutions’ commitment to strengthening academic linkages, advancing collaborative research, expanding extension initiatives, and promoting internationalization for mutual institutional and community development.
