Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through the Office of Socio-cultural Development, successfully kicked off the Festival of Talents on 26 March 2026, bringing together student-artists in a dynamic showcase of creativity, passion, and cultural pride. Anchored on the theme โDuyan ng Sining at Kultura: Pagsilang ng Galing at Pag-usbong ng Bagong Talento sa Makabagong Panahon,โ the event highlights the Universityโs role as a nurturing ground for artistic expression and cultural preservation. The theme emphasizes TAU as a cradle of arts and culture, fostering the emergence of new talents who are ready to flourish and innovate in todayโs modern era.
As part of the opening program, Day 1 is dedicated to the Visual Arts Category, featuring competitions in painting, poster making, and photography held at the Laboratory School Covered Court. Simultaneously, the pencil drawing and charcoal rendering contests take place at the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) Drawing Room, providing an avenue for participants to demonstrate precision, creativity, and technical skill. The simultaneous conduct of these activities reflects the Universityโs commitment to providing inclusive platforms for diverse artistic disciplines.
The Festival of Talents continues on 27 March 2026 for its second and final day, further celebrating the ingenuity and excellence of the TAU community. Through this initiative, the University reinforces its dedication to holistic student development, ensuring that arts and culture remain integral in shaping well-rounded individuals who contribute meaningfully to society.
