Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) under the leadership of Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson proudly supports the inaugural Maria Clara Festival, honoring the legacy of Leonor Rivera, Camilingโs very own and the historical inspiration behind Dr. Josรฉ Rizalโs iconic heroine. Representing purity, dignity, and quiet strength, Maria Clara serves as a timeless symbol of moral courage. Through this celebration, Camileรฑos are invited to reconnect with these enduring values and recognize her significant role in shaping our cultural identity.
In observance of the festivities, 8 May is declared a non-working holiday in Camiling, providing the community with an opportunity to engage fully in the event. TAU encourages everyone to pause and appreciate the heritage that continues to define our present.
While we celebrate this weekend, regular University operations will resume as scheduled next week.
