The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) convenes its academic community for this week’s simultaneous flag-hoisting ceremony, 16 February.

As the national flag ascends, the University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson joins the staff, faculty members, and students at the Learning Resource Center (LRC) - Library Building along with this week’s host, the Department of Extension and Training (DET).

Meanwhile, at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) engage with the students during the ceremony and welcome the new faculty members. In addition, CAS Dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar extends his gratitude to everyone for a successful CAS Week celebration.

The Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VPPQA), Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, emphasizes the need for holistic well-being, encouraging students to take care of their health by living the mantra β€œEat, Sleep, and Study.” He further explains that academic excellence is achieved not only by hard work but also by taking good care of oneself.

He also encourages young faculty members to align their professional growth with the provisions of the Joint Circular (JC), encouraging them to navigate through its guidelines to improve their credentials and advance their career growth.

At the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET) Dr. Edmar N. Franquera joins the CAF community and urges everyone to participate in the scheduled activities for the upcoming CAF Week.

Meanwhile, back at the LRC, Dr. Salunson proudly proclaims the university’s active participation in the high-level ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Tier 1 Training, which is another strategic move by the university in its relentless pursuit of international quality standards.

He also commends the efforts of Dr. Jerome D. Soriano for enhancing the university’s internal quality assurance processes.

In view of the forthcoming Ash Wednesday observance, Dr. Salunson also reminds the TAU community to take time for reflection and spiritual renewal and encourages everyone to observe sincerity, mindfulness, and forgiveness.
