Dr. Salunson presented a robust roster of TAU's 2025 achievements, highlighting feats that spanned academic, athletic, and institutional domains. Among these were high passing rates in licensure examinations, victories in both local and international sports and cultural competitions, and notable accomplishments by the University's alumni.
He also announced the establishment of seven new research centers, alongside extension programs that reached hundreds of organizations and communities. These academic and outreach successes were further reinforced by an unqualified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA), reflecting sound fiscal management.
Beyond academics and finance, Dr. Salunson pointed to TAU's growing reputation in humanitarian and disaster response, citing specific awards received for the University's efforts in these areas. He also noted TAU's improving standing in international rankings, which he described as evidence of the institution's rising global profile.ย
Taken together, the breakthroughs painted a picture of a university not only excelling in its core mandate of education and research but also extending its impact through community service, disaster resilience, and international recognition. โAt TAU, excellence is not just a standard, it is a routine,โ Dr. Salunson noted, as he also reaffirmed the Universityโs commitment to pursuing the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) and the ASEAN University NetworkโQuality Assurance (AUN-QA), among other quality benchmarks.

Following his address, Dr. Salunson introduced the first guest of honor, Senator Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian.ย
In his keynote speech, Senator Gatchalian emphasized that the occasion was more than just a simple charter day, noting that the past ten years represented a decade of forging, changing, and shaping young Filipinos, young people who are ready to serve and become part of the nation's development.ย
Sen. Gatchalian stated.
Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Vice President for Finance and Administration, then introduced the second guest of honor: Hon. Noel L. Villanueva, Mayor of the Municipality of Concepcion, Tarlac, who was cited as the principal author of Republic Act 10800. Mayor Villanueva was represented by his secretary, Mr. Renato Lindo.
The program continued with the awarding of plaques and tokens of appreciation, after which the University recognized former members of the Board of Regents (BOR): Dr. Joseph Paul T. Abad, faculty regent, and Hon. Jethro R. Jimenez, student regent.
Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, ended the morning session with closing remarks, congratulating TAUians for a decade of sustained excellence and collective effort. He reminded the community that while the charter marked a decade of milestones, the true celebration lay in the lives transformed and the communities served over the past ten years.ย
The event was also graced by Tarlac Governor Christian Tell A. Yap, Vice Governor Estelita M. Aquino, Camiling Mayor Joyce B. Agustin, Sta. Ignacia Mayor Bong Tan, and San Clemente Mayor Roseller M. Toledo.
