The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Committee on the Four-Day Workweek Scheme convenes an initial meeting today, 9 March, at the Office of the University President (OUP) to review the implementation of the proposed four-day workweek arrangement, including the work-from-home (WFH) setup for faculty members and non-teaching personnel, in line with Malacaรฑang Memorandum Circular No. 114.

The meeting aims to discuss operational guidelines and ensure that the transition to the new work arrangement proceeds smoothly while maintaining the delivery of essential academic and administrative services.

Considerations for laboratory classes also form part of the meeting highlights to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions to academic activities. The committee emphasizes the importance of sustaining the continuity and quality of instruction, particularly for courses that require laboratory and hands-on sessions.

During the meeting, the committee also deliberates on additional measures to support the implementation of the scheme. These include the continuation of the Universityโ€™s Car-Free Friday initiative and the temporary suspension of the prescribed uniform due to rising temperatures.

Separate memoranda are expected to be released soon to provide further guidance and clarify the specific policies and procedures related to the implementation of the four-day workweek arrangement at TAU.
