The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) joins EDCOM II and the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) in a strategic alignment event titled "Strategic Alignment on the Role of SUCs and AACCUP in National Learning Recovery" on September 2, 2026 at the CHED Auditorium, Higher Education Development Center (HEDC) Building. The initiative responds to critical findings from EDCOM II showing that national education challengesΒ  including child stunting, literacy gaps, and learner well-being emerge long before students reach higher education, directly shaping college readiness, workforce outcomes, and the overall quality of higher learning.

The University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson attends the event, joined by the Director of Research and Development, Dr. Noel J. Petero, and Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Jerome D. Soriano. As public institutions mandated to deliver instruction, research, and extension, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) are positioned to address these root causes, and by embedding community engagement into their quality assurance framework, AACCUP reinforces SUCs' public mandates and aligns academic functions with measurable societal outcomes.
