The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and BAC Secretariat, conducts a benchmarking activity at the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) on 7 October, focusing on the use, navigation, and implementation of the Modernized Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (mPhilGEPS).
The TAU delegation is welcomed by Dr. Al R. MuΓ±oz, Vice President for Planning and Resource Generation and Director for Business Affairs; Dr. Joan C. Reyes, Director for Administrative Services; and Ms. Julie Zen P. Sunga, Head of the Procurement Unit/BAC Secretariat, together with her team, who facilitate the benchmarking activity and share PSAUβs practices and experiences in using the mPhilGEPS platform.
The activity brings together TAU BAC Vice Chairperson Mr. Eduardo DC. Cabrera II, Head of the BAC Secretariat Ms. Ailene A. Nieves, and Technical Staff Ms. Helen G. Ruzol, Mr. Mark Jason E. Febrera, Mr. Nico I. Manzano, Ms. Czarina Joy D. PeΓ±a, and Ms. Maria Regina D. Salunson.
The benchmarking activity provides TAU's BAC members and Secretariat personnel with practical insights into mPhilGEPS features, procurement processes, system navigation, and the management of procurement-related transactions.
Through the activity, TAU strengthens its procurement practices and continues to build the capacity of its BAC and Secretariat personnel through knowledge-sharing and institutional benchmarking.
