The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the College of Education (CEd) led by its Dean, Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, holds a pre-deployment orientation seminar for its practice teachers on 9 December, at the Student and Alumni Center - Amphitheater.

The seminar includes work ethics during internships, Safe Spaces Act, and mental well-being in the workplace led by TAU speakers Mr. Johnny A. Parel Jr., Guidance Counselor III; Ms. Faith G. Santos, Gender and Development (GAD) coordinator and CEd faculty member; and Ms. Venus P. Benitez, faculty member from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).

The said event aims to prepare future educators for their upcoming internships and provide them with essential training on professional conduct, legal protections, and personal well-being before they are deployed to their teaching assignments.

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Tarlac Chapter marks International Volunteers Day at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 6 December, honoring local partner organizations and several youth councils for their outstanding commitment to humanitarian service.

The chapter presents awards to a diverse coalition of groups, including amateur radio and rider clubs, fire brigade volunteers, and Red Cross Youth Councils from Tarlac-based colleges and universities, in recognition of their selfless support. Also, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and TAU National Service Training Program (NSTP) Director Dr. Joven D. Valdez reaffirm the institutionโ€™s profound gratitude to all volunteers, whose dedication and efforts continue to serve as the cornerstone of the organizationโ€™s life-saving mission in the community.

To promote a healthier and inclusive community, the Gender and Development (GAD) office of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducts a seminar titled โ€œCultivating Respect: Navigating Power Dynamics and Combating Workplace Bullying for Healthier TAUโ€ gathering select faculty members and non-teaching staff on 5 December, at the AgriTourism Function Hall.

Serving as the resource speaker, Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) office and former GAD director, empowers the participants by educating them about the roots and impact of workplace bullying and the role of power relations in daily interactions.

Throughout the seminar, Dr. Villaruel emphasizes how power dynamics influence behavior and the importance of awareness and accountability.ย 

The said activity aims to help the TAU community identify practices that may contribute to hostile work environments and strategies to address them.
