During the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on 3 December, multiple sites across the campus participate in a coordinated worst-case scenario exercise. The University Disaster Risk Reduction Management (UDRRM) team emphasizes that while the University always plans for an effective response, today's drill specifically prepares for a catastrophic event that could overwhelm local capacities, deplete resources, and necessitate external aid from other agencies.

The exercise also serves to identify critical gaps in the Universityโ€™s earthquake response protocols, providing essential insights for future improvements. Observations from todayโ€™s drill will directly affect the development of a strengthened contingency plan. This proactive preparation is part of broader efforts to ready the campus for โ€œThe Big One,โ€ given Tarlacโ€™s vulnerability, and follows a series of recent seismic events recorded across the Philippines.

In a proactive move to break stereotypes and foster inclusive behavior among Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) student athletes and performers, the TAU Gender and Development (GAD) office conducts a seminar titled Champions of Respect: Student Athletes and Student Performers Against VAW (Violence Against Women) at the Continuing Education Center (CEC) on 2 December.

In collaboration with the Sociocultural Development Office and Sports Development Office, GAD aims to create a safe and empowered environment for the participants through an engaging talk with Ms. Jennylou B. Dela Rosa, a registered psychologist, registered psychometrician, and certified human resource associate.ย

Ms. Dela Rosa presents the different types of abuse and guides the performers and athletes in recognizing harmful behaviors, while also teaching them practical ways to prevent these situations. She also emphasizes the importance of being mentally healthy to enable them to perform and compete more effectively.

Warmest congratulations to Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Agriculture and Forestryโ€™s (CAF) 64 newly licensed agriculturists!ย

The University takes immense pride in this collective triumph. Our overall passing rate of 69.57%, surpassing the 68.56% national rate, demonstrates the consistent quality of our agricultural education. The exemplary 71.76% rate for first-time takers further sets a powerful standard of excellence.

This achievement is profoundly significant, representing a substantial improvement from the 40.28% performance in LEA 2024. This remarkable leap underscores the relentless spirit of our students, the focused mentorship of our faculty, and the unceasing support of our community.ย

To our new agriculturists, you have not merely passed an examination; you have advanced the legacy of TAU and now enter the profession as highly competent innovators and stewards of our nation's lands.
