The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) attained another feat after its Accounting and Finance Office was recognized as one of the Outstanding Accounting Offices for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP) during its 75th Founding Anniversary at the SMX Convention Center, Davao City, on 7 October.

The recognition honored exemplary government offices that exemplify excellence in financial reporting, quality, timeliness, accuracy, and accountability.

Despite having numerous engagements that prevented him from attending the event, the TAU President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson extended his gratitude for the award, which was received on behalf of the University officials led by Mr. Dante A. Revamonte, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Finance; Mr. Lyde G. Ragus, Chief of the Accounting Unit; Ms. Helen G. Ruzol, Chief of the Budgeting Unit; Ms. Mary Jean A. Poquiz, Accountant II from the Financial Services-Accounting Office; and Ms. Alisa Nicole B. The College of Education (CEd) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has once again cemented its reputation for academic excellence and quality assurance, following the successful reaccreditation of two of its flagship programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.

In a formal notification, the AACCUP confirmed that the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) majors in Mathematics and Physical Science, as well as the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) majors in Agri-Fishery Arts, Home Economics, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), have both retained their Level IV status. This prestigious accreditation is the highest level awarded by AACCUP and signifies the programs' exceptional quality, affirming national standards.

Serving as the culmination of the annual sports festival, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Laboratory School (LS) community witnessed a celebration at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 6 October, which was headlined by Yellow Instinct being crowned the overall champion after two days of intense competition.ย 

The Yellowโ€™s consistent excellence across multiple games and matches secured them the highest honor, with Green Harmony, Red Valor, and Blue Mystic following in second, third, and fourth places, respectively. The event then transitioned into the pageant to crown Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025, featuring various segments including sportswear competitions, special numbers from the Glee and Rondalla Clubs, and a question-and-answer portion that showcased the candidates' poise and intellect.

In a proud moment for their squad, Alessandra Denise Castillo of Yellow Instinct was crowned Ms. Intramurals 2025. The male category was fiercely contested, with the title of Mr. Intramurals 2025 being awarded to Jhared Gazmen Bulatao of Red Valor.

With her exemplary accomplishments in extension and training through the implementation of training programs, promotion of production technologies through Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, and establishments of linkages with Local Government Units (LGU), community, and stakeholders, Dr. Pueyo surpassed four other nominees with her remarkable score of 93% proving that her community-based initiatives had provided commendable opportunities for the University and for the community.

Aiming to enhance technology transfer and information dissemination to farming communities in the region, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) hosts the launching of the Farmers' Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk and turnover of equipment in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Regional Training Center (RTC) III at the Farmers Training Center on 30 September.ย
