Student leaders from Tarlac Agricultural Universityโ€™s (TAU) six colleges and laboratory school, together with the newly elected Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) officers, gathered at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 25 September for the annual Mass Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony.

The program commenced with the opening remarks of Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, followed by a message of inspiration from Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, represented by the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET), Dr. Edmar N. Franquera. The formal induction rites were administered by former SSC President (AY 2018โ€“2019) Mr. Emerson M. Jasmin, who likewise delivered a motivational speech to challenge the new set of leaders in their commitment to service. Outgoing SSC President Mr. Jethro M. Promoting environmental stewardship, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducted its annual Bamboo Planting in its 655-hectare Forest Reserve located in Sitio Titi-Calao in San Jose, Mayantoc, Tarlac, on 9, 12, 17, and 19 September 2025.

The sustainability-centered activity brought together employees from its six different colleges, offices, and units on their scheduled dates and planted bamboo propagules in the area. TAU conducts this annual activity during rainy months to ensure a good amount of harvest during the dry seasons, which will then be transported to the Engineered-Bamboo facility of the university for processing into furniture which are mainly used in TAU offices, handicrafts, and other flagship materials that add to the Universityโ€™s Income Generating Products (IGP).

Notching their first win of the season, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Buffalos stamped their ticket to the quarterfinals of the United Central Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) Season 10, overpowering the National University (NU) Clark Bulldogs, 74-51, at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) Sports and Cultural Center, 20 September.ย 

The victory marked a strong comeback after a challenging start to the season, which saw losses to the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Phoenix, the AUF Great Danes, and a tough 101-80 defeat against the St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology (SNBCT) Hoplites on 21 September.

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) has commenced the virtual accreditation survey for Tarlac Agricultural Universityโ€™s (TAU) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program today, 25 September.

This survey visit represents a crucial step for the University as the BSABE program seeks to attain Level IV Phase 2, Cycle 2 accreditation, one of the highest levels of academic quality recognition awarded by AACCUP, signifying a program of exceptional standards.

During the online opening program, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon D.C. Salunson formally welcomed the accrediting team. He emphasized the value of external perspectives, stating that expert insights would serve as a definitive blueprint for the University's continued pursuit of excellence in agricultural and biosystems education.

In line with the initiative of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the Gender and Development Office, National Service Training Program (NSTP), and University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (UDRRM), officials gathered at the Office of the University President (OUP) Conference Hall on 23 September for the Gender-Sensitive Building and Fire Safety Inspection.

Present at the event was Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, who acknowledged the collaborative efforts between TAU, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Camiling, the Camiling Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and external partners in upholding safety standards. Also in attendance was Dr. Eugene S. Valeriano, Director of Planning and Development and Chair of the Building Inspection Committee, who emphasized the teamโ€™s continuing efforts to ensure that all university facilities comply with safety standards. They were joined by members of the TAU Safety Inspection Committee, together with LGU officials.
