The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Education (CEd) recognized its September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passers during a testimonial dinner held at the Farmersโ€™ Training Center (FTC) on 30 January.

During the event, TAU-nurtured LET passers were congratulated by Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, CEd Dean, for their hard work that gave a remarkable distinction for TAU-CEd, stressing that their achievement is a testament to their own dedication as well as the quality of education they have received from the University. Dr. Olivaresโ€™ message was delivered by CEdโ€™s Assistant Dean Dr. Lynn Michelle N. Gorospe.

In her speech, Dr. Olivares through Dr. Gorospe, expressed her deep appreciation for this yearโ€™s LET passers for bringing pride to the University.

In a recent data released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), TAU ranked 8th among top-performing schools at the elementary level with 98.36% first-time passing rate and an outstanding 95.31% institutional passing rate that exceeds the national passing rate of 51.05% which led TAU to earn a spot among the countryโ€™s top teacher education institutions (TEIs), which was also noted by the PRC.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) carries out an inspection and monitoring visit at the Food Technology Department of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 28 January 2026. The purpose of the visit is to monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations to ensure that the standards set by the national government for food technology education and practice are complied with.

The team of inspectors, led by Hon. Remedios V. Baclig, Hon. Mary Grace R. Mandigma, and Ms. Ivy N. Dionisio, examines the facilities, personnel, and programs of the department in relation to Section 9 of RA 8981, otherwise known as the PRC Modernization Act of 2000, and Section 6 of Republic Act No. 11052, or the Philippine Food Technology Act. These laws give the PRC the authority to monitor professional practices, supervise educational institutions, and ensure compliance with the policies and standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).

During the visit, the team evaluates classrooms, labs, and other educational facilities to see if the department satisfies the requirements for faculty, equipment, and curriculum. The PRC also engages with staff to discuss measures for maintaining professional, ethical, and technical standards in food technology education and practice.
