CAPTURED IN LENS | 3rd BS Development Communication Star Awards

The TAU-CAS Grounds glowed with excitement and pride as the 3rd BS Development Communication Star Awards took place on November 21, 2025. The event celebrated the creativity, dedication, and heart of student storytellers who used film to spark conversations and inspire change. With the theme โ€œWhere true stars of development shine,โ€ the night highlighted stories rooted in real communities and real lives.

The program opened with a grand opening salvo performed by the selected 1st Year BS Development Communication students, setting an energetic and inspiring tone for the evening. CAS Dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar delivered the opening remarks, expressing pride in the studentsโ€™ accomplishments. University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson also shared an inspirational message, which was read aloud by CAS Assistant Dean Dr. Esmeralda P. Rodriguez, encouraging young communicators to continue using their talents for meaningful impact.

Mr. Nelmar A. Mallari, a member of the Sine-Sulong Core Team and Chief of the TAU Information Unit, reminded everyone of the true purpose of development communication. He emphasized that change begins with simple but meaningful efforts, especially when young communicators use their craft to voice concerns, tell untold stories, and become catalysts for development in their own unique ways.
