Reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and community engagement, the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) of Tarlac Agricultural University conducts a two-day Capacity Building Training-Workshop on Robotics for high school teachers of Gerona Western National High School on February 20 and 27, 2026. Spearheaded by CET Dean Dr. Ruben A. Parazo alongside selected faculty members, the extension initiative equips educators with foundational and applied knowledge in robotics, including basic electronics, programming, robot assembly, and classroom integration strategies. The hands-on sessions immerse participants in practical activities that translate theory into actual prototype development, ensuring that teachers gain both technical competence and instructional confidence.

The training highlights the vital role of robotics education in fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and innovation among learners skills essential in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. By equipping teachers with updated expertise and practical tools, CET creates a ripple effect that strengthens STEM education at the secondary level and opens broader opportunities for students in engineering and technology.ย

Through this meaningful extension activity, TAU continues to bridge higher education and basic education institutions, advancing inclusive, community-centered development while championing excellence in science and technology.

Under the banner "Together for Tomorrow: Building a Diverse and Inclusive Future in Veterinary Medicine," the Tarlac Agricultural University โ€“ College of Veterinary Medicine (TAU-CVM) officially opened its Veterinary Medicine Week 2026 on 17 March. Students, faculty, and their furry companions gathered to celebrate the profession, kicking off three days of engaging activities.

The day began early at the New CVM Building with a parade that wound its way into the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center. The Opening Ceremony that followed was steeped in tradition, commencing with a Doxology, the Entrance of Colors led by the ROTC unit, and the singing of the National Anthem. Dr. Annalie P. Torio, CVM Assistant Dean, delivered the opening remarks, warmly greeting the attendees and highlighting the significance of the celebration.

Dr. Regina C. Villarama, CVM Student Council Adviser, then took the stage to present the timeline of activities and officially launched the delegation banners, signaling the start of the festivities. A short but insightful talk by Dr. Leatrize Gonzales followed, offering students valuable perspectives on the veterinary profession.

The spotlight then turned to the much-anticipated VSAS Pet Show, where participants proudly presented their beloved companions across various categories, showcasing the special bond between humans and animals.

After a lunch break, the energy shifted indoors for the VKV โ€“ VLV Laro ng Lahi. Students set aside their textbooks to engage in traditional Filipino games, fostering teamwork and friendly competition among the different teams. The first day of CVM Week concluded on a high note with an adrenaline-filled showcase by the Rodeo Club, treating attendees to exciting demonstrations and interactive games that highlighted the skills and precision of rodeo sports.

Meanwhile, the second day of the Veterinary Medicine Week 2026, set for 18 March, promises a shift in energy as participants trade their white uniforms for active wear. The morning will begin with the much-anticipated Color Fun Run, followed by a short awarding ceremony and the high-energy VET Olympics. Running concurrently will be the CC Spay and Neuter Drive, a parallel activity reflecting the collegeโ€™s deep commitment to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
