Following the official courtesy call and collaborative discussion with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officials, delegates from the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) continue their benchmarking activity at the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) to gather insights on CAF’s innovative strategies, facilities, and systems, 10 October.

Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo, CAF Dean, warmly receives the PSAU officials and imparts key information about the college’s best practices, programs, and initiatives. After the consultative meeting, the attendees proceed with a campus tour and explore various academic and research hubs at TAU.

To gain deeper insights into how material innovation, climate-responsive design, and community practices converge to promote resilient and sustainable architecture in the local setting, the United Architects of the Philippines Graduate Auxiliary (UAPGA) – Tarlac Chapter conducts “Lakbay: Exploring Bamboo’s Journey from Nature to Structure” at the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Farmers Training Center and the Kawayan Collective Tarlac Facility on 11 October. 

The educational experience starts through an opening ceremony with Dr. Jay-ar A. De Mayo, Director of Business and Auxiliary Services (BAS) Office, representing TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and welcoming the participants. Then, a keynote talk focusing on the cultivation, processing, and preparation of bamboo for structural applications is facilitated. The program continues with a site visit and guided tour at the Kawayan Collective Tarlac facility, featuring hands-on observation and collaborative discussions

Twenty-two Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) faculty members take their oath of office before University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson at the Office of the President (OP_ Conference Hall on 13 October. The ceremony includes six newly hired faculty, four with renewed temporary appointments, seven moving from temporary to permanent status, and five transitioning from contract of service (COS) to temporary appointments.

Dr. Salunson, together with other University officials, leads the event and reminds the oath-takers to dedicate themselves to the four-fold mission of TAU. He emphasizes that true service to the University begins with love for the institution, urging the faculty to uphold excellence and commitment in their roles in instruction, research, extension, and production.
