The entire Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) extends its warmest greetings to Mr. Jesse B. Cariño on his well-deserved recognition as Lakan ng Tarlac 2025. A third-year Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDC) student from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Mr. Cariño consistently demonstrates exceptional character and serves as an outstanding representative of the Municipality of Paniqui.

His path to this victory is paved with a series of notable accomplishments. He proudly carries the title of Mr. TAU 2024 and further distinguished himself by securing the 2nd runner-up position in the highly competitive Mr. CAASUC III 2024. This impressive trajectory underscores his passion for and commitment to being a youth ambassador, not only for his University but also for the entire Province of Tarlac.

In cooperation with the Municipality of San Clemente, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) holds a collaborative training program on bamboo handicrafts for the indigenous communities in Sitio Dueg, Brgy. Maasin from 2-3 October. 

Aiming to equip participants with valuable skills to create functional bamboo products, the specialized sessions, facilitated by Bamboo Research and Training Center (BRTC) and eBamboo Facility, fostered economic empowerment and preserved traditional craftsmanship using sustainable materials.

In a proactive move to foster an open, supportive campus setting where conversations about mental health are normalized and embraced, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD) - Guidance and Counseling Unit, conducted a series of activities in line with the worldwide observance of mental health awareness month, held within the University campus, 17 October.

With the theme “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” the initiating office aims to support the main goal of raising global awareness of mental health issues and mobilizing efforts to support mental health. The event originated and was first celebrated in 1992 every 10th of October at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH).

In support of inclusive and sustainable rural development, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC Salunson conveys a message of solidarity to leaders and members of  Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-assisted cooperatives and associations in Tarlac Province during the 2nd ARBO (Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organizations) Summit at the Kaisa Convention Hall in Tarlac City on 17 October.
