𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐑 | 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞

Emphasizing the vital role of public servants in building strong institutions, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) proudly recognized its very own Model Non-Teaching Employee, or Katangi-tanging Kawani ng Gobyerno, during the annual Search for Katangi-tanging Kawani ng Unibersidad, held in line with the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service (CSC) Anniversary at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 29 September.

The award was conferred once again to Mr. Roderick V. Garidan, Administrative Aide V from the Planning and Development Office (PDO) – Management and Information Systems (MIS), after he obtained the highest score of 92.077% during the deliberation of the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) committee.

A father of three, Mr. Garidan, or simply “Kuya Rick” among his comrades, began his career as a computer technician in a private IT company before joining TAU in 2012. Since then, he has demonstrated deep commitment to public service, productivity, compassion, and resourcefulness in every responsibility entrusted to him. Colleagues describe him as a reliable partner, a problem-solver with cost-saving initiatives, and an inspiration who proves that true service means going beyond what is expected, all while fulfilling his responsibilities to his wife and children.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐀 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐀𝐔-𝐂𝐀𝐅, 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐱𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

To create a more conducive, learner-friendly environment that supports focus and productivity of students, the Parent-Teacher-Employee Association (PTEA) of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) donated essential equipment to improve ventilation in classrooms and instructional aids to enhance teaching efficiency and class engagement on 2 September.

The donations consisted of 18 projectors, 18 stand fans, 34 orbit fans, 34 wall fans, one ergonomic chair, and two lapel microphones, which were distributed across classrooms and facilities in the CAF building to address students’ primary concern of poor ventilation, while also supporting teaching efficiency and enhancing class engagement.

During the interview, College Dean Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo expressed that the support of PTEA is highly appreciated, emphasizing that the gesture has strengthened the collaboration among parents, teachers, and employees in advancing quality education by providing a more comfortable classroom setup and ensuring that faculty members are equipped with the right tools. “It is a clear manifestation that when parents, teachers, and students unite, greater things can be achieved for the betterment of the college,” she conveyed.

In commemoration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) convened its stakeholders for a prestigious awards ceremony at Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 29 September. The event brought together the University community under the theme "Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan," celebrating the heroic spirit of genuine public service.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn Entrance of Colors and a stirring performance by the TAU Chorale, followed by messages from Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), and Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President.

In his speech, Dr. Salunson praised TAU’s legacy of integrity, excellence, and innovation in public service. He recognized leaders, partners, and faculty and staff for their shared sacrifices and achievements, stressing that the University’s growth is the fruit of collective effort.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, and the TAU Board and University Secretary Mr. Sonny A. Santos join the Department of Economy, Planning and Development, headed by its Regional Director Nerissa T. Esguerra, in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Central Luzon Regional Development Council (RDC III) in DMGC Maimpis, San Fernando, Pampanga, 30 September.

Along with other officials invited, Dr. Salunson and Mr. Santos engage in commending the achievements and celebrating the milestones of RDC III, emphasizing the council’s pivotal role in advancing regional development initiatives, fostering collaboration among member institutions, and aligning local priorities with national goals.
