Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), represented by its President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson joins fellow State University and College (SUC) leaders during the first meeting with Senator Loren Legarda, the new Chair of the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education at the Manila Polo Club, McKinley Road, Makati City, 26 September.

The meeting opens opportunities for TAU to align its thrusts with the Committee’s priorities under Senator Legarda’s leadership. As TAU continues to champion agricultural innovation, sustainability, and community development, Dr. Salunson underscores the University’s commitment to advancing quality education and strengthening its role in nation-building.

Tarlac Agricultural University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, along with Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VP-PQA); Mr. Lyde G. Ragus, Chief of the TAU Accounting Office; and Ms. Helen G. Ruzol, Officer In-Charge (OIC) of the Budget Office, presented the University’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 budget proposal during the budget deliberations at the Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City, on 26 September.

The activity forms part of the directive requiring all State University and College (SUC) Presidents, Officers In-Charge, and key officials to participate in the national budget process. These deliberations provide a platform to brief the House Committee on Appropriations and Members of the House of Representatives on the financial outlook of their respective institutions, covering major thrusts, ongoing and upcoming programs, significant projects, fund releases, income, and key accomplishments.

Salunson and other key officials attend the Pre-plenary hearing hosted by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) at the Plenary Session Hall, Batasang Pambansa Complex, on 24-25 September.

Dr. Salunson together with Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VP-PQA); Mr. Lyde G. Ragus, Chief of TAU-Accounting Office; and Ms. Helen G. Ruzol, Officer In-Charge (OIC) of the Budget Office engage in the said activity to highlight major thrusts of the FY 2026 proposed budget of the SUCs and other matters.

Student leaders from Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) six colleges and laboratory school, together with the newly elected Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) officers, gathered at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 25 September for the annual Mass Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony.

The program commenced with the opening remarks of Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, followed by a message of inspiration from Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, represented by the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET), Dr. Edmar N. Franquera. The formal induction rites were administered by former SSC President (AY 2018–2019) Mr. Emerson M. Jasmin, who likewise delivered a motivational speech to challenge the new set of leaders in their commitment to service. Outgoing SSC President Mr. Jethro M.
