Dr. Amy Lizbeth J. Rico, Manager of the Tarlac Agricultural University - Smart Agriculture Center and a faculty member of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), delivered a lecture to international participants during the Global Dialogues III: Climate Change and Environment, an event organized through the Enhancing English through Global Citizenship program of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on 3 October 2025, via Zoom.

Through this international engagement, Dr. Rico was able to share her expertise with students from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines, and the United States of America (USA), offering valuable insights on smart agriculture and the impacts of climate change.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) representatives participated in the annual General Assembly of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Philippines, hosted by De La Salle University (DLSU) via online on 26 September 2025.

Said TAU representatives were Mr. Jerome L. Duque, Information Officer III of the Information Unit (IU), and Ms. Caroline N. Gabis, faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and Chief for Partnership Development of the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Office.

The event featured plenary sessions on the United Nationsโ€™ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and presentations of the SDG City Project. During the sessions, Mr. Duque learned more about SDG 2: Zero Hunger, while Ms. Gabis focused on SDG 4: Quality Education. The event also served as a platform to foster networks among various members who attended the meeting and to acknowledge the SDSN Youth Philippines.

Committed to equipping students with the skills to become globally competitive in the business sector, the College of Business and Management โ€“ Entrepreneurship Department of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) held a virtual training session titled โ€œCultural Differences in Entrepreneurship: Lessons from Other Countriesโ€ on 17 October 2025, via Zoom.

Said training session aimed to broaden the perspectives of entrepreneurship students by exposing them to cultural and business practices shared by the resource speakers, namely Dr. Dewi Amaliah Nafiati, S.Pd., M.Si., from Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, Indonesia, and Dr. Mohammad Reyad Hossain, from Daffodil International University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Ms. Kimberly P. Robillos, Chair of the Entrepreneurship Department, officially welcomed the participants and expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the activity. She also emphasized that the training session serves as an avenue for students to learn from and be inspired by global business perspectives.

Highlighting a unified national effort to empower the country's educators, the Teacher Education Council (TEC) and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) solidify their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, simultaneously launching the pivotal Teacher Education Roadmap 2035. This landmark event also kicks off the Research Initiatives in Teacher Education (RITE) Year 2.

As part of the RITE Year 2 program, TEC in partnership with UST, has also initiated a number of research projects tapping academicians and researchers from Centers of Excellence in Teacher Education. Among them is Prof. Marlon B. Espedillon, faculty from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Education (CEd) and Assistant Director ofย  Quality Assurance (QA) Office, who is leading one of the strategic initiatives for RITE 2.
