Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) represented by its University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and other key officials attend the Pre-plenary hearing hosted by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) at the Plenary Session Hall, Batasang Pambansa Complex, on 24-25 September.

Dr. Salunson together with Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VP-PQA); Mr. Lyde G. Ragus, Chief of TAU-Accounting Office; and Ms. Helen G. Ruzol, Officer In-Charge (OIC) of the Budget Office engage in the said activity to highlight major thrusts of the FY 2026 proposed budget of the SUCs and other matters.

Student leaders from Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) six colleges and laboratory school, together with the newly elected Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) officers, gathered at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 25 September for the annual Mass Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony.

The program commenced with the opening remarks of Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, followed by a message of inspiration from Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, represented by the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET), Dr. Edmar N. Franquera. The formal induction rites were administered by former SSC President (AY 2018–2019) Mr. Emerson M. Jasmin, who likewise delivered a motivational speech to challenge the new set of leaders in their commitment to service. Outgoing SSC President Mr. Jethro M. Promoting environmental stewardship, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducted its annual Bamboo Planting in its 655-hectare Forest Reserve located in Sitio Titi-Calao in San Jose, Mayantoc, Tarlac, on 9, 12, 17, and 19 September 2025.

The sustainability-centered activity brought together employees from its six different colleges, offices, and units on their scheduled dates and planted bamboo propagules in the area. TAU conducts this annual activity during rainy months to ensure a good amount of harvest during the dry seasons, which will then be transported to the Engineered-Bamboo facility of the university for processing into furniture which are mainly used in TAU offices, handicrafts, and other flagship materials that add to the University’s Income Generating Products (IGP).

Notching their first win of the season, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Buffalos stamped their ticket to the quarterfinals of the United Central Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) Season 10, overpowering the National University (NU) Clark Bulldogs, 74-51, at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) Sports and Cultural Center, 20 September. 

The victory marked a strong comeback after a challenging start to the season, which saw losses to the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Phoenix, the AUF Great Danes, and a tough 101-80 defeat against the St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology (SNBCT) Hoplites on 21 September.
