𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲

In line with the International Day of Charity last Friday, 15 Indigenous Peoples (IP) students from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) under BUKLOD-LAHI were officially welcomed as scholars of the Assisi Development Foundation, Inc.–Educational Assistance Program, in partnership with the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation.

The gathering, facilitated by Mr. Mon Corpuz of the Black Pencil Project—the visionary behind the Labney Yellow School of Hope—went beyond being a simple orientation. It became a beacon of encouragement and inspiration for the beneficiaries. IP student scholars were oriented on the program’s details, particularly on proper financial management, to help them maximize the support for their educational journey.

Strengthening its ties with stakeholders, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), led by President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, visited the adjacent towns of Sta. Ignacia, Mayantoc, Camiling, San Clemente, and San Manuel from 4–8 September.

During the said engagement, Dr. Salunson also conferred with the Mayor’s League Chairperson and San Manuel Mayor, Hon. Donya Tesoro, and emphasizes the vital role of education in uplifting livelihoods and empowering communities. 

With shared visions for growth, TAU looks forward to exploring more collaborations and support—building bridges between the university and our local leaders to advance development and opportunities for every Tarlaqueño.

To equip university personnel with advanced management skills that fosters adaptability, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) through the guidance from the Office of Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III conducted a two-day program titled “Transformational Leadership Training for Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Employees” at the TAU - Continuing Education Center (CEC) from 2-3 September.

The program focused on cultivating essential leadership skills to empower employees in driving innovation, collaboration, and institutional growth led by Dr. Emmanuel F. Silan, a Co-Founder and Lead Consultant of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Manila Corporation.

In observance of the 31st National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW), the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) joins the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) in the nationwide celebration from 1–7 September 2025.

This year’s theme, “Pinalakas na Pamahalaang Lokal para sa Ligtas na Pamayanan: Pagpapatibay ng mga Programa sa Pag-iwas sa Krimen sa Ilalim ng CSOP,” emphasizes the vital role of strengthened local governance in building safer and more secure communities.
