Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) joins the nation in celebrating Eidโl Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan) as Friday, 20 March 2026, is declared a Regular Holiday throughout the country pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1189, s. 2026. In solidarity with the Muslim community and in recognition of the cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion, regular classes and office transactions in the University are suspended, allowing the TAU community to take part in the national observance.
Eidโl Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, a period devoted to prayer, reflection, and compassion. As the University joins in this meaningful celebration, the TAU administration encourages students, faculty members, and personnel to reflect on the shared values of gratitude, generosity, and unity, highlighting how moments like these strengthen mutual respect and appreciation for the rich cultural diversity that enriches the Filipino community.
The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through its Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD) announces the rescheduling of the College Admission Test (CAT) originally set on Friday, 13 March, to Wednesday, 18 March.ย
This is in line with the recent suspension of ALL classes and office transactions due to the scheduled power interruption and to allow the conduct of the examinations without any disruptions
In order to enhance the effective management of resources and ensure the financial sustainability of the institution, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has implemented austerity measures and energy conservation programs through Memorandum No. 089 s. 2026 issued by the Office of the University President (OUP) effective 16 March 2026.
In conformity with the national guidelines on energy efficiency, the University launches its four-day onsite work scheme and flexible work arrangements to maximize operational efficiency without compromising the delivery of services to the academic community.
Under this scheme, faculty personnel are expected to observe work-from-home arrangements on Mondays, which may be conducted through synchronous or asynchronous modes of delivery. Meanwhile, non-teaching personnel shall follow a compressed workweek from Tuesday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except for offices providing academic support services, which will operate in two shifts: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Furthermore, flag-raising ceremonies will be shifted every Tuesday or the first working day of the week at 7:00 AM.ย
Personnel may also be required to render work beyond regular schedules or on Mondays when necessary for service needs.
In addition, the memorandum has outlined electricity and water conservation practices on campus, including the proper management of the usage of air conditioning units, minimizing the usage of lights during the day, and turning off appliances and equipment when not in use. Moreover, offices are encouraged to practice the efficient usage of supplies used in the workplace, the utilization of digital communication tools, and the support of recycling programs.
Furthermore, the University encourages the practice of cost-effective and sustainable practices in the following ways: through the utilization of virtual meetings, minimizing official trips, engaging in carpooling practices, and the utilization of reusable containers and eco-friendly materials within the University.
These practices call on all officials, employees, students, and visitors of TAU to actively support the implementation of austerity and conservation practices in sustaining the University's resources and operations.
