𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | TAU joins 2024 National Innovation Day celebration

In support of the Memorandum Circular 44, titled “Conduct of Programs and Activities for the Celebration of the 2024 National Innovations Day,” released by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducted a one-day event at the TAU Student and Alumni Center - Amphitheatre on 22 April.

The event aimed to foster an innovative culture and mindset among stakeholders through various activities, including hackathons, design thinking workshops, project pitching, innovation challenges, and gamified workshops.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Committed to fostering a healthy workplace where all its employees maintain optimal health and well-being, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through its Medical and Dental Services Unit/Office, initiates the week-long Annual Medical Examination (AME) at the Farmers' Training Center (FTC) on 3 June to 7 June.
 
The Medical and Dental Unit encourages the participation of everyone in the AME, covering electrocardiogram (ECG), full-abdomen ultrasound, x-ray, urinalysis, blood chemistry, and drug test, as this is a proactive step towards ensuring a healthier, happier, and more productive TAU community.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | TAU NASA officials confer with Zambales uni nonteaching org 

In an effort to improve their services to their members, the officials of the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) engaged in a bilateral dialogue with officers of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) NASA in PRMSU Main Campus, Iba, Zambales on 26 April.

During the meeting, the TAU NASA leadership had a productive conversation with their counterparts. Issues raised included benefits for members, participation in the University management, and  income generating projects of the organization.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | CET aces Festival of Talents, claims overall championship

Garnering 76 points, the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) snagged the overall championship title in the Festival of Talents, facilitated by the Sociocultural Development Office (SDO), in collaboration with Tarlac Agricultural University’s six colleges and the Supreme Student Council (SSC), on 18-19 April. 

CET captured four gold medals in Painting, Photography, Spoken Poetry, and Piano. In a message, CET Cultural Coordinator Engr. Donna Fay N. Labrador attributed her College’s victory to synergy and collaboration. “Nagtulungan po ang faculty at Student Council. Very supportive din po ang aming Dean. Pinili po namin best of the best po sa CET,” Engr. Labrador commented

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | This week’s flag raising ceremony is hosted by the Quality Assurance (QA) Office led by its Director, Dr. Geraldin B. Dela Cruz, and Internal Audit Services (IAS) Office headed by Ms. Lina L. Rafael, Internal Auditor III. QA and IAS separated in 2022 to carry out their respective mandates and functions independently which are likewise aimed at adding value and improving the effectiveness of the University’s four-fold operations

𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | TAU joins 64 PHEIs in WURI Global Innovative Universities list
 
As announced by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) during the 4th Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference at Franklin University, Switzerland on 7 May, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has been ranked for the fourth consecutive time, just 10 places beyond the Global Top 100 of the world’s most innovative universities.
 
With 65 Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs), TAU placed seventh in the national ranking. TAU also led in Central Luzon, in a list that includes four PHEIs from Region 3.
 
Aside from the overall ranking, TAU also obtained spots in three categories. The University’s entry in the Student Support and Engagement entitled RACE Against Suicide: A Suicide Prevention Program for Students, claimed the 17th spot. Developed by the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD), said undertaking highlighted an intensified suicide awareness campaign, comprehensive mental health assessment, and mental health counseling as intervention.

The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services - Placement  Services Unit hosts a seminar entitled “Finding the Road Towards Career Success” that aims to equip the graduating students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Education (CED), College of Business and Management (CBM), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) with necessary skills and knowledge to navigate their career paths successfully.
