The team from PSU is welcomed by Mr. Carlo Magno L. Sagun, Assistant Director of RRTC. Mr. Sagun outlines the processes and technologies used in tissue-culture as well as in improving the different varieties of sweetpotato cultivated at TAU. PSU is conducting benchmarking as it has an existing project under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). The delegates from PSU also meet with Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET).
Β
This activity is part of TAU’s continuous collaboration with its existing partners. As a show of goodwill, RRTC officials offer to help PSU in training its staff about tissue-culture processes and technologies as part of TAU’s extension program.
