CAPTURED IN LENS | In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the Gender and Development (GAD) office champions inclusivity through creative expression activities and commends the winners of “Purple Your Icon,” 17 March.

During the evaluation of entries, the judges, composed of Prof. Cecile L. Lapitan, Director of Sociocultural Development Office (SDO); Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of Student and Placement Office (SPO); and Ms. Paula Erika Bacobo, technical staff from the Planning and Development Office (PDO), carefully appraise the creativity, artistic representation of the theme, and innovative expression of every unit’s identity while incorporating the purple motif.

After deliberation, the Department of Research and Development (DRD) stands out among the entries and secures the top award. The College of Business and Management (CBM) claims second place, while the College of Education (CEd) places third, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) captures fourth place and the Alumni Relations Office settles for fifth place.

The following offices also support the GAD initiative with their entries and receive consolation prizes: Office of the Student Services and Development (OSSD), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Learning and Resource Center (LRC), and Records Management Unit (RMU).

The winning entries will display their work for public viewing until the end of March, as part of the month-long celebration of women empowerment.
