Eighteen undergraduates pursuing Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) and thirteen Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering started their internship program hosted by Indonesia's Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in June 21, 2021 and was capped last August 26, 2021. The two months internship covers a wide range of topics which enhances their knowledge and educational experience.

During the three-month program, students are immersed in activities which are substantial in actual industry workplaces like water resources management and air pollution modeling.

The closing event of the program was highlighted by a recognition ceremony where Alyster M. Balingit and Jay-An Q. Dizon were awarded as the “Best Student in E-Internship program for BSABE and BSGE, respectively. This collaboration between ITS and TAU is one for the books as it is the first curriculum-based internship program deployment of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering under its new and revised BSABE curriculum and it is more monumental as it is done during this time of the pandemic.

Just this year, ITS was recognized by the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings (THE AUR) as third among all Indonesian colleges and universities. As TAU continues to champion its students to be quality graduates, along with the caliber of ITS, the students experienced an opportunity that would prepare them as future agricultural and biosystems engineers in the country.
