Despite having a small teaching staff, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) has successfully attained the Level III Reaccreditation for its Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program as announced by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

With an impressive rating of 4.28, the DVM program was granted the Level III Reaccreditation for the third survey, phase 2. This reaccreditation, valid from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2028, demonstrates TAU-CVM’s ongoing institutional transformation, marked primarily by the modernization of its facilities.

The final evaluation of the program was carried out by Dr. Elmer C. Vingua, an esteemed Animal Science expert from Pangasinan State University (PSU). Dr. Vingua’s thorough report appraised the DVM program’s instruction, extension, research, and linkages and its history of producing competent veterinary professionals.

This quality assurance process signifies that TAU's DVM program not only meets but exceeds the standards set by AACCUP, highlighting TAU's commitment to improving veterinary education. With this achievement, the University ensures its students receive specialized training and a reliable academic foundation, equipping them to become industry and community leaders.

CVM Dean Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez shared that she is thankful for the AACCUP Board’s decision. β€œThis is the result of our collective hard work, sacrifice, and dedication at CVM. We are thankful to the administration of Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson for the support and encouragement,” Dr. Ramirez shared.

Salunson commended the CVM family. β€œWe fully support CVM's initiatives, as demonstrated by the TAU Board of Regents' recent resolution to upgrade the entry-level position at TAU-CVM from Instructor I to Assistant Professor I,” Dr. Salunson disclosed.
