The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducted the Katangi-tanging Kawani sa Gobyerno Awarding Ceremony at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, 30 September, which honored retirees and exemplary employees for their distinct attributes and excellent quality service and practices that contributed to the commendable accomplishments of their areas of services, and the University as a whole.

Organized by the Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) and the University's Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee, the event aimed to show appreciation for distinguished teaching and non-teaching employees of the TAU who have demonstrated dedicated service and outstanding characteristics in the performance of their duties.

The program commenced with the entrance of nominees and awardees led by the TAU President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, together with the vice presidents, directors, and college deans. The awarding ceremony began after a video presentation showcasing Salunson's 100 days of leadership, highlighting some of his many achievements despite his short time at the helm.

For this year, the Special Awards were feted to TAU-SMART Agriculture Center team for being a Regional CSC Pagasa Awardee, and the TAU-HRMO team for being a Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) - Bronze awardee. The TAU-SMART team is composed of former TAU President Dr. Max P. Guillermo, TAU-SMART Center Manager Dr. Amy Lizbeth Rico, Mr. Michael Raquel, Mr. Jayson Elenzano, and Mr. Jeffrey John Yasay, while the TAU-HRMO team members include Ms. Gina V. Duran, Ms. Maricel D. Felipe, Ms. Toni Paz S. Reyes, Ms. Arcela B. Nazaire, and Ms. Angelika Jem DC. Reyes.

Twenty-seven TAU employees were also given the Gantimpala Agad Award for exemplifying honesty in the performance of [their] duty by returning valuable items found.

Ms. Perlita Rodriquez, who served TAU for 19 years and is turning 65 years old in November, was conferred with the Senior Award, while Dr. Pepito C. Cortes, Dr. Blessie U. Lorenzo and Mr. Harold DC. Pilot were given Posthumous Award.
