The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) organized the first quarterly meeting of the experts and officials of the 29 member-institutions of Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) and Regional Research and Development Coordinating Committee (RRDCC) at the TAU Agritourism Hostel Function Hall, 7 March.
To reinforce strong partnerships and research advocacy during his welcome remarks, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson extended his warm greetings and lauded the two organizations for their efforts in undertaking research projects and extension services. βCLAARDEC and RRDCC continue to inspire TAUβs research and innovation by providing expertise, funding, and collaborative opportunities,β he stated.
Following the preliminary activities, the committee engaged in a virtual and on-site review of the proposed agenda, 2024 highlights of accomplishment, and the 2025 work plan. The members, initiated by Department of Agriculture-Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) Executive Director Dr. Liza G. Battad also discussed the scheduling and tasking for quarterly meetings, and noted suggestions on conducting Agency In-House Review sessions per SUC in Central Luzon.
The Real-Time Monitoring System (RTMS) Data Entry was also tackled, relating to the status of its web-based platform which is relevant in tracking the research initiatives in agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources.
As members delved into various agenda items, the committee also presented its future aquaculture projects. It was then followed by a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the RAISE-Project 4.
