In line with its relentless efforts and steadfast commitment to providing the highest standards of education as well as its continuous pursuit of improved systems and services, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), specifically its College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and College of Business and Management (CBM), underwent a Preliminary Survey Visit Online Program Accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BS DevCom) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs, respectively, by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on 14-18 October via Zoom Meeting platform.

The five-day event commenced with the welcome remarks of TAU President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, wherein he expressed that the survey reiterates TAU's continuous commitment to making sure that it delivers an education that not only meets but also, most importantly, exceeds the level of higher learning standards for its students.

"We view this accreditation visit as an opportunity to measure just how far we have come and identify areas where we can improve so that we can maintain those high standards of instruction in which we have invested," the University President said.

Afterward, Dr. Jerome D. Soriano, TAU's Director for Quality Assurance (QA), introduced Prof. Jill B. Saquing and Dr. Shane H. Oteyza, who served as lead accreditors in the BS DevCom and BSTM programs, respectively. This was followed by Dr. Marlon B. Espedillon, the Assistant Director for TAU-QA, presenting the local task force.

The visit culminated with an exit conference where the accreditors provided feedback and suggestions to better improve the programs. Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VP-RET), read TAU's statement of commitment on behalf of the TAU University President. Appreciation and gratitude for the comprehensive evaluation conducted by the AACCUP team underscored the university’s dedication to continuous improvement in all academic areas.

A closing remarks delivered by Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs formally ended the event.
