TAU hosts the 2nd International Conference on Agriculture, Biosystem, and Technology (IconABT)

For the second consecutive year, academics, researchers, and other interested parties have come together once again for the Tarlac Agricultural University’s International Conference on Agriculture, Biosystem, and Technology (IconABT) with the theme Farm to Fork (F2F): Embracing Data-driven Agriculture for Sustainable, Transformative, and Resilient Agro-ecological Food Chain System last August 22-23, 2022.

Dr. Max P. Guillermo, University President, echoed in his opening speech the significance of adopting data-driven agriculture for achievement of sustainable, transformative, and resilient agroecological food chains.

Futhermore, notable guest speakers from both government and private sectors, and successful researchers also graced the event to give talks on relevant topics.

Several partner agencies also expressed their congratulations and support such as the President of the Republic of the Philippines and acting Department of Agriculture Secretary, Hon. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Mr. Charles Hopkins, United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Chair from York University, Canada, and Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr., Officer-In-Charge of the Department of Science and Technology.

Participants in this year's IconABT include researchers from Israel, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Algeria, the Philippines, and Africa.

IconABT concluded with the announcing of the following Best Poster and Best Paper awardees:
