The Gender and Development (GAD) Office of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), headed by its Director, Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo, spearheaded a planning workshop titled βFacilitating Gender Sensitivity Planning Workshop and Team-Building of GAD Focal Point System Members and Coordinatorsβ at the Universityβs Bamboo Training Center (BTC) Function Hall, 23-24 July.

Guided by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 01, series 2015, the TAU - GAD Office supports the mandate to strengthen the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) to accelerate gender mainstreaming and continue being responsive to the challenges and opportunities within the University and in the community.

ππππππππ ππ ππππ | The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community gathers in front of the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center for the weekly conduct of flag raising ceremony, 29 July. Leading the weekly rites is the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (OVPRET) headed by Vice President Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, and two of its support offices, the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) and Affiliated Renewable Energy Center (AREC).

Meanwhile, Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, the Officer-In-Charge of the Office of Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (OVPPQA), reminds the heads of offices and units at TAU that during their scheduled Strategic Planning workshop, their action plans should be output-based and doable for the indicated period.

Per Executive Order No. 20, S. 2024, issued by the Office of the Governor of the Province of Tarlac, classes in all levels and work in government are suspended on 26 July.
For their safety as floodwaters have not receded in some areas, enrollees (BS Business Administration) for tomorrow, 26 July, are advised to transact with the Admission and Registration Services (ARS) on 1 August instead, while Grade 12 and late enrollees from the Laboratory School (LS) will be entertained on 29 July.
Per Executive Order No. 20, S. 2024, issued by the Office of the Governor of the Province of Tarlac, classes in all levels and work in government are suspended on 26 July.

Spearheading this week's flag hoisting is the Gender and Development (GAD) Office led by its Director, Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo, together with the GAD Focal Point System from different offices at TAU.

During the ceremony, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC Salunson, TAU President, congratulates Dr. Joseph Paul T. Abad for being sworn in as the new Faculty Regent of the TAU Board of Regents (BOR), and also reveals that all proposed agenda were approved by the BOR during its first meeting on 18 July.
