CAPTURED IN LENS | The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office hosts a flag-raising ceremony on 14 July, where key updates are shared with the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community.

External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Director Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel announces TAU’s inclusion in the Top 100 of the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), as revealed during the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference in Dumaguete City. Meanwhile, TAU Laboratory School (LS) Principal Dr. Milani C. Petero presents the schedule of activities for the opening week of LS classes, ensuring a smooth start for students, faculty, and staff.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝐓𝐀𝐔, 𝐃𝐀-𝐀𝐓𝐈 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞                             

With the intent of creating traditional, unique, and market-responsive products, the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) of Papaac, Camiling, Tarlac collaborated with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through its Department of Extension and Training (DET), and the Department of Agriculture–Agricultural Training Institute (DA–ATI), to conduct a three-day training-workshop entitled “Enhancing Sweet Camote and Banana Chips: Training on Flavor Innovation and Financial Literacy for Rurl Improvement Club” at the Farmer’s Training Center (FTC) from July 9 to 11.

This initiative sought to strengthen community organizations like the RIC through capacity enhancement activities designed to empower women in rural areas. It aimed to enrich their knowledge and technical skills in producing value-added goods that are both culturally rooted and economically viable. For this year’s training, the RIC Papaac Chapter focused on innovating their camote and banana chips, and thus reached out to TAU and DA–ATI for expert guidance on flavor enhancement and business sustainability.

CAPTURED IN LENS | Empowering State Universities and Colleges (SUC) through knowledge sharing and networking, the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) launches its 2025 Midterm Convention and General Assembly at the SMX Convention Center Manila, from 9-11 July.

The three-day event brings together higher education leaders and stakeholders under the theme “Forging the Future: Empowering SUCs through Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence” to help them shape the future of SUCs and realize their role in national progress.

𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐬𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐔𝐑𝐈 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

After five years of unyielding commitment to innovation and global relevance, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has finally earned a prized spot in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Most Innovative Universities, earning the 93rd spot globally, 8th country-wide, and 1st in the entire Central Luzon region.

Announced during the 5th Annual Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference held at Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, on 10 July, this achievement places TAU among only nine Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in the Top 100 of the 2025 edition. Also, TAU attained the 110th tier in WURI 2024.
